Why did you decide to join the Home Front Team?
After being laid off from a senior brand strategy role at a startup, I wanted to find a way to help in the current situation while maintaining my connection to the community.

What are you going to be doing on the team?
My focus is on the Home Front blog. I look for opportunities to share stories with our audience, communicate how people can help, and write posts.

What's something you'd like to say to front line workers right now?
While I know you made a huge commitment to society by going into a medical field, nobody thought you would be faced with a challenge of this magnitude. I recognize that this is as difficult for you as anyone else–you are human.

What’s one article you think people should read?

I’m not an economist and I’m certainly not endorsing a specific course of action. But I found this to be an interesting approach to dealing with the economy.

Why did you decide to join the Home Front Team?
I’m always down to provide a helping hand! I think we all have a personal responsibility to make sure those in our area that are in need of support are getting what they need, especially right now.

What are you going to be doing on the team?
I designed the logo, and continuously design the online graphics. I also get in touch with artists about #HomeFrontHero submissions.

What's something you'd like to say to front line workers right now?
Thank you for every single minute of your hard work. I hope you’re eating well and getting an okay amount of rest.

Why did you join The Home Front Team?
I wanted to find a way to support the work being done by our frontline workers. My cousin is a nurse in Edmonton so I have her in mind.  I’ve also experienced the amazing work done by nurses, doctors and other specialists in hospitals when my son was seriously ill a few years ago.  This seemed a really good way to give back.

What are you going to be doing on the team? I work with the social media team, looking for content, reaching out to new accounts, sharing information on other pages that I manage, and helping keep an eye on any conversations. I’m also helping with other projects as needed. I’m happy to move around so that I can assist with whatever is top of the list.

What's something you'd like to say to front line workers right now?
I hope you know how much you’re appreciated by SO many people. From front line workers in health care all the way to the people making sure we have food in our stores and on our tables; we see you and we can’t thank you enough.

I would also recommend this piece for an interesting take on how we could preserve our economy.
